Description/Job Summary

If you have a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of industrial sales or consultative sales experience, Signode is hiring a Segment Specialist to promote and sell their high-performance packaging systems while providing the highest quality sales and service throughout the Southeast U.S. The ideal candidate lives within the assigned area, possesses strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude, a valid driver's license, and the willingness to spend up to 65% of the time traveling while overseeing an account ranging from $9-12 million in sales volume.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with business and financial acumen
  • Excellent active listening, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with an action-oriented and competitive character
  • Strong technology skills and social media knowledge with high proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams


Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000-$95,000 based on experience and skill set


Essential Functions:

  • Sell through a consultative and solutions-driven method to provide a comprehensive packaging system to our customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by gaining new distributors and increasing shelf space with current customers utilizing all Signode products and services.
  • Develop, document, and present the value of One Signode to our distribution network while building a personal brand that represents the Signode Values.
  • Collaborate with other team members on account management, projects, or department initiatives and assist the A/R department in collecting past-due balances.
  • Work closely with our Customer Service, Inside Sales, and Regional Sales Management Teams to coordinate sales activity, follow up on quotes, develop and follow up on leads, and close sales.
  • Arrange an effective Time and Territory Management Plan and participate in Training & Development opportunities.
  • Contribute information to the sales and marketing strategy by sharing distributor needs, market opportunities, and competitive area information Support sales team with questions and training.
